  3.      We  have  found that on some computer's bus the  Internal  modem  will
  4. function  better if one resistor is removed from the modem. If  your  modem
  5. has trouble releasing the line, or hangs the computer when hanging up,  you
  6. should try this.

  8.      >>  You  will NOT VOID your warranty as long as nothing  else  on  the
  9. modem is touched<<.
  10.  
  11.      While we have not found any such situations, in a few cases the  modem
  12. may  work better before the resistor was removed. If this happens  we  will
